Petanque on a Sunny Day

We had a beautifully sunny day and I went off to play petanque at the Royal Oak Pub for the last time. We had a smaller turnout than before so there were only two games played at a time. This is a very friendly group of retirees who completely invalidates the stereotype of the "reserved Englishman". The sense of humour is wonderful. I will definitely miss playing with them.

In this photo, Gus is throwing while Ann, Mike and Ged (Gerald) watch.

At lunch, we have (clockwise from front left) John, Ann, Ged, Bill, Gus and Jack with Mike off to the side. Charlie (the Scot) took the picture.
